I love fall fashion, but in Texas, we are a little seasonally challenged. The first day it finally started to really cool down was the one day most people would actually prefer to have the option of wearing fewer layers of clothing—Halloween! So, in the spirit of cooler air, here are some of my favorite Pinsipired looks!

First, a few nice button down shirts are a worthy investment, but definitely not something you need to spend a lot of money on. You can wear them multiple ways, which means you can repeat these pieces without repeating an entire outfit. You can pair them with a puffer vest, sweater, blazer, jean jacket, jean vest, or wear them alone with leather leggings, a statement necklace and pumps!

A dress or skirt with an oversized sweater is a big fall/winter trend. It’s an easy way to stay warm while looking like you know a thing or two about fashion. Two pairs of shoes I think everyone should invest in (if you haven’t already) are some black or nude strappy, high heel, ankle-wrap sandals and pointed toe pumps. Even though they may appear to be a summer shoe, the strappy sandals have made their way into fall and winter fashion – there’s no way of getting around it!
